Watah Drops

I learned how to make water drops today. Here is the final can.

Gradients

Joe asked me to do a soda can for Obama. I used this as an opportunity to experiments with gradients and realism in illustrator. Here it is!




The proportions are a bit off, but I'm definitely going to fix what needs to be fixed tomorrow. I will probably run it through photoshop for some final touches.

Got a lot done today. Registered my cousin's website, and reworked a pamphlet for the movie. Nice. Also, I spent a lot of the day measuring my room to begin an isometric drawing. So far i only have the walls done. But now that i have a template of where things go, it should be a little easier. Hoping to get the furniture in tomorrow.





It looks smaller than it is due to the iso-projection. So i'd say there's room for at least 4 hot bisexual women in there.

Gross

Today was pretty uneventful. Got some stuff done for work, but then after that nothing really happened. I didn't even finish my illustrator assignment today. Hopefully i'll get it done sometime during tomorrow afternoon. HOWEVER! I did use the same gradient trick I used for the flowers to illustrate receding space. It's pretty awesome.




Also, i made a poster for Obama today. Cause he's awesome.

Floral

Ok so focused mainly on basic gradients today and learned how to make flowers. They are pretty basic, but they could open up tons of possibilities as far as sculpting images. Sorry for the lackluster colors, i did these in cmyk rather than rgb because I'm an idiot. If i didn't finish these assignments to late, i would write more interesting things.

I'm back.

I'm back.

So yea. Got a couple jobs. Trying to save up for a car and laptop. And guess what? I abandoned my blog. Thats right! FUCK all y'all! In the meantime, I'm trying to become a jedi at illustrator. I have a book, and am following the lessons. I will use this blog to journal my progress. It's late, so forgive the horrible punctuation.

My first assignment was using fills and grayscale tone. I was told, by my book, to pick a simple mechanical object, and use basic fills , bezier curves and outlines, to make it. I chose my cell phone:





So there it is. Minus the Star Wars text of course :(. I need to work on the gradients, and will return to this illustration when the book instructs me to do so! Heres the outline drawing as well, since I thought it was cool.







Did I mention I got an awesome new lamp?
